"Approximation"

In this series, I worked with photos from the family archive. What separates me from these photos is history. I wanted to get as close as possible to the people depicted in the photographs, but every attempt to get closer ended up with a complete blurring of the image; the closer the object was to me, the less clear its outlines became. I am repeatedly enlarging the detail of the depicted object, breaking it up and distorting its material component in order to express that feeling.

"Family Album"

I use photos from family archives as a reference. I execute the image from the photograph one to one in a printing technique, as if duplicating it randomly, where each movement of the brush is not programmed. Something is clearly underlined and something disappears, destroying the surface of the original photographic image and creating a new, semi-erased or semi-destroyed image - pieces taken out of context, scraps...

"Fragments" 

I worked with fragments, isolating the emotions of faces and hand gestures from their context in order to express their out-of-context relationship.
